Trees, flowers and shrubs seem to have schemed in creating the spell that surrounds Taboada. The mesquite trees grow older and larger than elsewhere; gnarled, of dry and ancient trunks, with overflowing crowns of young, deep green leaves, they tower over lilies, geraniums and velvet-like grass.
